Adventures and Miracles In Taiwan

July 3, 2016 email

Emma and Sister Hughes were able to return to Zhongli this week to see Willie be baptized!!!  Emma and Sister Komatsu found Willie the second week Emma was in Taiwan and now he's a member:)  Such a great day!
What a super duper awesome week!! I am so grateful to be here in Taiwan. It's such a special place! WE will start off with last Pday! Sister Hughes and I decided that we wanted to go on an adventure. We heard of a majestic waterfall up some hidden canyon so we jumped on  a bus and hoped for the best! It turned out to be the most beautiful place!!! It's called Wulai. This little village in the mountains! We walked a ways up and then BAM! This super duper amazing waterfall! It was beautiful. We found lots of cool asian trinkets and ate weiner on a stick with some friends that we made. The miracle part was that we even made it back before proselyting time:)

Waterfall in Wulai.

Later Monday night we did our usual hour of english boarding by the hospital. Everything was going as normal until this kid came up to me and asked me in chinese, "Are you american?" I replied, "yes!" and then he FREAKED OUT!!!!!!!!! I don't know what he was saying but he was yelling, and EVERYONE was staring!!! I was gonna poop my pants! Luckily Elder Dong is an angel and got after him and literally saved my life..
Pretty sure the guy was special in the head.. but it was still the worst! Elder Dong is The district Mom. I'm so grateful he helped a sister out! Dong mama for President.

This is Elder Roe (the Elder in the middle)  from Cache Valley too! He and Emma went to Mountain Crest High School together.  He is home now.

The rain made Emma look as if she's a nursing mother:)  Sorry, but I just think Em is so much fun!
This week was truly amazing. We are finally starting to find those who are really prepared! the Lord loves us so much and ALWAYS will help us have success. We just have to be obedient and patient. I'm not super good at either of those...
jkjkjkjkjkjkjk
I'm super good at being obedient, but patience is something that I definitely lack in!!

Another miracle from this week was that our investigator Ji Pei De was able to come to church with us and the investigator fireside last night!!!!!!!!!! AGH! He is so dang awesome. He never fail to amaze us with his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This week we will be sharing with him Tithing. Oh man I am SO NERVOUS! He really loves money. He is the hardest worker I've ever met and is already balancing 2 jobs right now! Pray that he will have the faith to keep this commandment and understand the intense amount of blessings that he'll receive from obeying God:) We love him to death! I have a green CTR ring that he just loves. I told him when he gets baptized I'll buy him one. He was pumped. :)

Willie's baptism.
Another massive miracle from the week was in Zhongli!!!!!!! I had the chance to go back to my birth home of Zhongli and watch my investigator Willy get baptized!!!!!!!! It was such a cool experience. He has changed so much and its been cool to watch him from the very beginning! I met him my 2nd week in Taiwan. We had know idea where to go, so we prayed, opened our eyes, pointed left, knocked on a door, and it was him:) He is so dang awesome! It was so special to go back to Zhongli this week. I didn't think I'd made much of an impact in Zhongli but it was crazy to see friends, and members again. They actually like me!
Taiwan is so great. Here are some fun facts and special moments from the week.\
-we were praying in the elevator nun style (hands clapped together) and then some people walked in...but we weren't done...awkward;)
-my english class is so dang shy its hilarious. My personality is SO different than taiwanese:)
-My brain is pooped everyday.
-we might be kicked out of our apartment next week!
-Moving to a foreign country makes you have super intense American Pride.
-I saw a spider as big as a softball this week and almost threw up!
-I got a fungus on my wrist because it could never stay dry cause I always have my watch on....but now its better;)
THE END!

I Love You, I Wanna Love You Tender Taiwan!

May 29, 2016 email

Cut girls!
Whooo!!!! What a killer week! the weather here is absolutely ridiculous. One day its basically a typhoon and then the next is hotter than sin!!!!
It's so dang fun:)This week was full of so many dang crazy adventures. But first things first.
IM DONE WITH TRAINING!! Wow. that flew by. I'll get my new comp on thursday. I don't know who she is..but I'm pumped. Sister Komatsu is all finished and has been giving me the last advice and wisdom of a dying missionary. I'm so grateful for everything she has taught me!!!
ok. now for a crazy story.

Street life in Zhongli.
It's like 7pm and we are biking to Longgan to go finding when all of a sudden we just hear this blood curdling screaming. Oh man. Someone just died on their scooter in the street.......But no! The screaming kept going and I realized it was a dog. Someone NAILED this small dog in the street and it was screaming its guts out! literally...I booked it as fast as I could cause I didn't want to see anything that would give me nightmares.. But then I looked back and My companion was in the middle of the street with some lady pulling this dog to safety!!!! Oh my heck they are so brave! I'm biking away and these 2 are being heros! So I biked back slowly and hellped them save the poor dog. It was the worst. I hated it.

then we went to the church for a sec to regroup ourselves. Taiwan is nuts!

English class!!
The next day we got to go to Taipei to be in a new video the mission home is making for our english class!!! So much dang fun:) I'm gonna be famous mom! haha just kidding:)
Our investigators are all doing so dang awesome. It's crazy how different everyone's learning pace is. but they are all so fantastic. :)
Sister K.'s last Sunday:)  She is headed home this week.  And we just found out last night that it was Emma's last Sunday in Zhongli as well.  She is headed to Macha today.  She is REALLY going to miss all the people she loves in Zhongli.
We had a miracle last night!! So one of our investigators, Zeng jm, She is 15 years old and has had all the lessons from past missionaries and is meeting with us now too, she wants to be baptized but says her dad won't let her! We've all been praying and praying for him. We asked her if we could come over to meet him, but she's just too dang scared. So last night we were meeting with her at the 7-11 and who just happened to show up for a drink? HER DAD! She saw him pull up and almost burst into tears she was so scared! We walked up to him and introduced ourselves and got to know him:) It was amazing to talk to him. He will let her be baptized!!!! Heavenly Father is the greatest:)

"All the public restrooms are squatters.  Good thing I've been camping in the woods a lot!"  emma clawson
Here's some tidbits from this week:)
-me and elder Seamons sang the whole elephant love medley at mcdonalds. it was legendary. I was so impressed he knew the whole song!
-We have this diva in our english class that said she just wants everyone to tell her her darkest secrets....shes nuts.
-I'm going to take over Zhongli...
-Pizza huts everywhere are crappy. Even in Taiwan.
-Biking and getting lost is a daily thing.
-I'm done training:)
-Jed and Gracie and MARRIED!!!!!!
-I made banana pancakes yesterday and Sang the song along with it;) so great:)
-sundays are completely the opposite on a mission as they are at home!
-My Chaco tan is killer.

-My watch tan is sick.
-Everyone go read Hebrews 11!
-I deep cleaned the heck out of our apartment..SO MUCH DARK HAIR EVERYWHERE! Girls..

Pot Sticker Tender Mercy

 May 22, 2016 email
They're lost, but still smiling!
OK. I promise my life is super exciting and this week was the greatest...!!!!! It was just so dang busy I forgot to write down everything awesome we did... I know. I am repenting. Forgive me!

A cool story to start off the week. Last Monday night a member took us out to dinner at a neat steak house! American food..sometimes members think we hate tiawanese food so they take us to american. But Hey! It's free food! I ain't complaining!
But anyways...I was eating my delicious steak and our members son started choking. They all started slapping the crap out of his back but nothing! He started to turn blue and I thought I was gonna have to leap over the table and do the Himlich! or however you spell it..But then after one hard slap to the back he threw up pretty much the whole steak. SCARY! "Chew your food you're an animal!" -Matilda

These are the Tender Mercy Potstickers.
Tuesday we went out on exchanges and got SO lost. so we walked around and finally found our way to their house at like 7pm...hahaha oh man! But the Lord blessed us with a tender mercy and we found our favorite spot to eat for dinner. The Lord is so aware of all of us and our challenges! Even when we are just super hungry and lost. We were so hungry but didn't know where we were or what to eat! So what do we do? Pray. :) the lord guided us down several different paths but the whisperings of the Holy Ghost saved the day. As we turned an ally corner there it was. Our favorite pot sticker shop!. Wow. We died laughing and said a very intense prayer of thanks. Nothing short of a Pot Sticker Tender Mercy I tell ya!
Exchanges went good. Sister Pendergrass was super sick..so I was actually a secretary for a day writing down all their records while she slept. :)

These are the LOST faces.
English class was so great this week! We were blessed to get 4 new investigators from it!!! So great. It's because I teach them slang and they love it...:)

this was my class warm up lesson this week...

Rad, Gnarly, Sick, Killer, Out of Sight, Daaang

What do all these words have in common??
they all mean something is "super cool!"

They loved it

;)

Don't worry. We teach them real stuff too:)

We had so many new investigators that we met with this week! It's funny how different all people are and how they are all on such different learning levels. They all have a different sized cup to fill! And we have this massive pitcher of Knowledge and have to tailor it perfectly to their cup size:) We had so many Restoration lessons prepared to teach but only taught it 2 times, because some of the other investigators just weren't quite ready for all that INFORMATION quite yet!

WE had so many miracles this week. One of our engish students, Tony, met with us for the first time. We shared with him the first lesson and he asked us how he could get a testimony of what we were teaching.. What?! Know one asks us this ever?! He has the strongest desire to really know the truth of what we are teaching. SO DANG COOL! then he asked all of us to share our experience of how we got our testimony of the gospel. The spirit was so strong as we all shared our stories. He was so excited about how different all our answers were and is ready to learn how he can build his own as well. The Lord puts the prepared in our path:)

I'm impressed with the organization!
some fun tidbits from the week.

-if people have diarreah, they will cancel meetings
-I found the coolest resturant in all the world. I have so many pics. Hot pot buffet. Even cooler than Mauna Kea mom! It changed my life. Me and Elder Magness were freaking out.. (He gets excited about food too. haha)
-Recent Converts are the best missionaries. We went out with 2 of them this week and they killed it!
-I've never gotten so wet in my whole life as I did last night. Instantly soaked on my bike within 5 seconds:)
-Scriptures answer the questions of the soul! Everyone read Jacob 2:8
Taiwan you're something else.

Team Sweaty!

It rained buckets!  Emma in front of the Taipei Taiwan Temple
This week was absolutely fantastic!!! Me and Sister Komatsu have been finding for days and days for solid investigators. One night this week we were losing our minds we were so exhausted from finding so we took a 5 minute break and biked around in circles chasing each other.....It was so stupid funny....we were dying laughing our heads off! We've been trying to find the little moments to stop and laugh to keep us sane in the hot sun of Taiwan. The other night we were in bed and got talking about our favorite Disney, Dreamworks, and Pixar movies. We Laughed our guts out talking about how we both cried in Toy Story 3, and how the 2 potato bugs in a Bugs Life are the best:) ah man.. pray for our sanity;) Our district leader gave some of the best advice at district meeting this week. "If you need to take a 15 minute Cocos Mango Bing break, DO IT." He's the best. It's been getting bloody hot this week! But then this morning we woke up and it's basically a Typhoon outside. Taiwan weather baby. Un. Pre. Dictable!  (that was a movie quote by Vector from Dispicable Me..:))

A man fishing outside Emma's apartment in Zhongli.  Looks like a good day fishing!

Taipei Taiwan Temple in downtown Taipei.
Dad! You are going to be so proud of me! This week we had an FHE (family home evening) with my Taiwanese Mom and her family:) Lin Jiating! She is so wonderful, her husband isn't a member but she's got two sons serving in taichung That are helping soften up that guys heart:) But anyways, I did that Rocks, pebbles, sand, and a cup of hot chocolate all in the bottle thing! You know where you have so little time and all these duties (the rocks, pebbles, and sand) but you always have time for a cup of hot chocolate with a friend! man. It was awesome. Super hard in chinese but they loved it! I referred it to the Gospel and it went super duper good:) Thanks dad:) They loved it so much that they even gave me a chinese name:) Ke ai jie mei. it means I'm loving and stuff, I can't remember it all but it's still sick!

This week I ate another whole pineapple...but mangos are in season now...and they changed my life. SO DANG GOOD!!!!!!!! I didn't really like mangos in america but they are to die for here!!

Ok here's a few fun tidbits from the week. We've been meeting with all of our LA's and RC's trying to get some new investigators and it's just been awesome to watch their personal testimonies grow as they have a desire to share with their friends. AGh! so neat:)

Emma LOVES that she gets to ride a bike everywhere!!

Sister Komatsu and Sister Clawson
Our english class cracks me up. They always have the most ridiculous questions that I have no idea how to answer...Like whats the difference between a Cinema and a Theater? WTH! i DON'T KNOW! edit the wth please mom...that was for my fams eyes only;)(Sorry I had to keep that part in.  It is so Emma:)

I also had my very first earthquake this week! It was nuts! We were studying, and then it felt like I was in the ocean and everything was swaying....SO COOL!!! About 5 minutes after my favorite RC Kevin called us and yelled, "ARe you OK?!" He's the best.

We have 3 wonderful new investigators this week that we were able to meet with again:)
Willy:) He is awesome. He is a 23 year old guy that is going through intense schooling to be a baker. We have lots to talk about:)He also told me that beer is his life...pray for him:)

Fruit and veggies are AWESOME in Taiwan!!  And pretty cheap:)
Guo JM:) This lady is awesome! She is absolutely crazy;) We went to her house to meet with her and she showed us all the cool inventions she's made in her house. She reminds me of Seth, constantly building things! We shared with her The Because he Lives message on youtube and the part where Jesus shows up at the end she gasped and said in chinese, "Wow! He's so Handsome! I want to get to know this guy!" hahahhaah we couldn't help but laugh. Everyone thinks he's so handsome;)

Peter:) Oh my gosh. What a miracle. I was unlocking my bike outside of the church and saw him walk past and ran up and talked to him. He's 18 Years old and is getting ready to start college in a few months! We totally hit it off and he set a baptismal date on the street with us:) We met with him a few days later and got to know him more and shared with him The Restoration. He was so excited to try praying at the end. AGH! I just love him so much he is the cutest person in the Entire world!! He's the biggest sweetheart.
I love people so much. They are seriously the coolest:)

This is a cute lady Emma and her comp. are teaching.  They're sharing the Because He Lives message on Youtube.  Here's the link for it.
The past 3 days some weirdo has been putting bike locks around our church gate so we can't get in. Loser. Bless their heart:) He just doesn't know that we have WU DX! The manliest man in the world who has an electric saw and cuts it for us everyday:) He's the best.

Sister Clawson, Sister Komatsu and Ruby their favorite friend:)  Thanks Ruby for loving these girls!!
I sweat so much here. WEll I just sweat a butt ton in general. I wake up early to exercise and then we go play BBall with the elders. When we split up teams, I'm always team Sweaty. Thanks Elder Seamons:)

This week was awesome. Taiwan is nuts and beautiful.. Love you guys so dang much!!!!

Mother's Day Quickie!

May 8, 2016

This is the cute little Asian "Jane" aka #mynameissweetheart, that Emma found down a secret alley one night.

Mom and family!
I'm so stinking grateful for all of you. I'm so glad that I was able to see all your beautiful faces today:) I'm so blessed to have the greatest family in the entire world!!!!!!! Never change:(

this week honestly has been so full of miracles. I may have felt like I was in a crappy spot but time and time again Heavenly Father has blessed me with tender mercies every day to keep me going. He loves us and will NEVER forget us:) We went to a members house for dinner this week and there daughter got home from her mission a few months ago. She doesn't know that I'm struggling, but she felt inspired to share a story with us from her mission. She was exceedingly stressed and sad, she didn't know what to do! She told us the best thing she did was to pray, slow down, have fun, and to realize that everyone is going to have a crappy time at their mission at some point.:)
Dinner with some favorite members.  Thanks for feeding and loving her!

Later that night we met Burt:) he isn't a member, but saw us biking and bought us dinner because he loves missionaries and Americans..:) We talked forever about the gospel and bikes;) Heavenly Father helped me realized that i have more in common with these incredible people than I think!
An awesome member went to Costco and bought the missionaries their favorite cereal!!  Thank You!!

The next night we were out finding, we hadn't had any luck getting lessons and decided to head down an unfamiliar street...sketchy as heck...There were two little girls playing in an ally. One yelled at me in chinese, "You're a foreigner!" I told her yes and ended up having the funnest little chat:) Her name was Huang Yi Hui and she is 4:) We told her about Jesus and how we have a Heavenly Father that loves us. She took my name tag, put it on, and then we taught her how to pray. She was Janes twin! I know for a fact she is going to be a missionary someday;)
A favorite friend from the MTC.

This week we had Zone Conference and Holy cats was inspired!! Elder Wang of the 70 came with his wife and it was amazing! It was all about using your scriptures and asking inspired questions... Well shoot....that's what I've been praying for help with the past few weeks!! GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS! President also bore a powerful testimony of how missions are the biggest blessing for our lives and for all the people we will meet. He said it's a sunny day in Taiwan! Now go have fun!!

We got to watch 2 baptisms this week and it was wonderful. The gospel literally flips peoples lives around complete 180..but for the better;)
Emma's cousin Dave posted this and both James and I shared it with Emma.  She's got it taped in the back of her scriptures now so she will always see it.  Thanks Dave V.!!

I've been really trying to learn how to better develop my faith so that it is UNSHAKEABLE! I have so many flaws and am trying so hard to be able to conquer them! I've learned a lot the past few months that I'm an exceedingly selfish person...I need to give up myself, get work and serve others!!!!!!! any advice lovely family? I love you all so much:) so wonderful to be able to talk with you all today. Be safe. Choose the right

The Roaches Are Out.....

Wowzers. Another week dead and gone.
Honestly..the time is so weird when you are on  a mission. Endless. But so fast. So dang weird.
Last monday we went to one of our favorite spots for Pday, we get together with the Elders and go to the Game Place..It's just a shop chuck full of games...It's awesome! so much fun. We play forever and all laugh our heads off together. I'm blessed to have such a killer district!

This week we also had Trainer Trainee follow up meeting! Talk about AWESOME. It was so much dang fun to see my mtc lovvers;) I love them all so much and they are all doing so great! We've all been going through similar challenges, cried together, talked forever, and recharged for the new transfer and the last inning of our training:) We have the best leaders and Mission President who are so inspired and know how to keep us happy and successful. I AM SO GRATEFUL.

MTC Besties back together for an afternoon.  Emma said it was wonderful!!  I can't believe how much I love these girls and I don't actually know them, but in 14 months I hope to hug them!!
We had some sad news this week, thursday night, both of our most progressing investigators that would have been getting baptized this weekend both dropped us. We are completely heartbroken. It's hard to know if we gave it our all. But, what it really comes down to is their agency. Satan is the worst and knows all of our doubts, fears, and weaknesses. I'm so sad for Zhuang and Jia DX, but I know we gave it our all and planted a deep seed in their hearts. One day they will be ready and become truly converted and put their faith in the Lord. Pray for the rest of our investigators to be strong.

Missions are Physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally draining. We are at our strongest and our weakest! I'm positive Satan knows us just as well as Heavenly Father. Don't let him get into your minds people!!!! He's the biggest jerk in the world and wants to rip us apart everyday!

Finding people on the streets of Zhongli.
We've been blessed to have been able to find tons of new investigators this week. The scriptures on the street are killer:) We are just like, :"can I share my favorite scripture with you? " BAM! Lives changed. Sometimes...ahah:)

We are also the new ADVANCED English teachers! Oh man, its' so fun:) Our class is awesome and they all have killer english. I learned an important lesson though...never bring up wakeboarding to a bunch of asians...they have no idea what it is....then your entire english lesson turns into explaining and acting out what wakeboarding is....:) it was awesome:) They think I'm the coolest. Well, maybe. I think I'm cool so that's all that matters.

Dinner with some favorite friends.  Notice the gentleman's shirt.  James has the exact same one!  It's the Plan of Salvation:)

Mango Boba Smoothies!  It's a mango smoothy with big black chewy tapioca balls in the bottom that you slurp up through the super fat straws.  It may sound odd, or yucky, but we LOVE THEM!!
Some fun tidbits:)

I also had a mango bing.
It changed my life:)

I've eaten 8 whole pineapples by myself so far in training.

Probably 1000 kiwis.

My legs and butt are so strong from biking and exercising. yes!

We met a super drunk guy last night. He told me I was beautiful and that If I ever needed anything to CALL HIM. He was great:)
I'm so grateful for the crazy Taiwanese people. They make me so happy. The biggest sweethearts in the world!

Love you so much family.
xoxo

Team Jesus

Finding people's addresses is like a maze Emma said.  A fun maze:)
Whoo! Hello from Taiwan! Another crazy week full of miracles:) first we got to start off with Last monday! It was a good p-day, we got together with the Elders to play some killer basketball, we didn't have quite enough people to play a big game so we rounded up some guys who were smoking with their ladies on the side court, I asked them if they wanted to play and it took them a bit to finally agree. But we got em!! There was only 3 of them and 5 of us...so..I volunteered to be on asian team. Team Hoodlum vs. Team Jesus! Oh man, it was intense!! They were pretty good for a bunch of guys smoking on the side! We kicked trash! After we were done we shared the gospel with them:) Missions are full of adventures:)

Our investigators are absolutely amazing, we met with 3 new ones this week and it's just incredible to see how much this gospel can impact peoples lives:) We met with Zhuang dx. this week and it was fabulous:) He is the cutest guy ever. We shared with him the Plan of Salvation and he just ate it up. Oh man...but guess what? During the lesson, my companion was sharing the part about Our Life on Earth and all of a sudden a massive cockroach peeked his head out from under the table...but only I could see it...cause it was right in front of me...and the spirit was too strong that I was terrified to scream....or even squeak....Let's just say from that point to the end of the lesson I had to try REALLY hard to focus...he just kept coming in and out to say hello to me! Oh my gosh it was the worst. But at least Zhuang dx. is still awesome and excited to be baptized:) I shared with him a promised blessing and said that the Plan of Salvation would help him strengthen relationships with his family. He smiled and laughed a little and said to me in chinese, "no way. that's impossible." hahhahahhaaha his family is a little crazy and he has some grudges to let go of:) maybe this week we will share about forgiveness. He is so dang awesome:)

Transfers are this week! Which means I am half way done with training.....YES!!! I am so excited. I love training, but it will be great to not be the baby;)

We made the greatest new friend this week! His name is Husain and he is from pakistan. He wants to learn more about the church so him and his friend from Indonesia came to meet with us and the Elders. They are both Muslim and were really curious about Mormons. They are here for school, and I think they were also just excited to see foreigners;) But wow. We talked with them, shared the first lesson and the spirit was so strong. Amazing! But they are devote muslim and don't think they could every change! Jed! I need your help on how to work with Muslims!

Our ward is so amazing. I just have to say it every week! WE are so blessed to have so many people that are willing to come with us to lessons and feed us dinner every once in a while! So so so great. Member Missionaries! Oh my gosh, our ward mission leader did the nicest thing this week, on sunday he comes up to me with a violin case in his hand, AND GIVES IT TO ME. What?! Peter?! He said that i can play it till I leave Zhongli. Wow. He is the best. I literally have no time to play it...but  did for a few minutes before bed the other night and it made my heart sing. He's a cool guy.

Beautiful Taiwan.
Now for the biggest miracle of the week! Last night. We met the most prepared family. In the World. And they all set baptismal dates!!!! it was amazing the love that just radiated from their home. We are so excited to keep sharing with them:) Heavenly Father puts the prepared in our path!
Making the most relish bowl of noodles.
Emma said they found the best noodle shop!!  Add whatever you want.  Looks delish!

ok. now for something else cool. So I've never been able to ride my bike with no hands. I just don't have the balance. This week I had a dream that i could do it like a pro. The next day I tried it.. AND I CAN DO IT!!!!! LIKE REALLY GOOD!!!! I was stoked, everyone follow your dreams, cause apparently you can learn life skills in your sleep.\
Love you so much!!

Crying Over Cookies In Taiwan

Sister Clawson in front of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial
Whoo! What a killer week. Time is so weird. I feel like it was just pday, but then when I really think about it, pday was literally a year ago...man..missions.

Last Monday we went to Chiang Kai Shek! It was so beautiful!!! So much history and tons of fun to head to Taipei with our elders. We spent most of the day there and then headed back to zhongli because we had a dinner appointment and then an FHE (Family Home Evening) at our ward mission leaders house after that. We hustled our buns back and jumped on our bikes with the elders to find the resturant we were eating at with Cai JM. WE got SO lost! Finally we found it after searching forever! It was called Rebel burger. WE didn't have tons of time since we had to get to our FHE activity so we inhaled our burgers. I remember it was good, but I ate it too fast, I don't even remember what it had on it...then we took for the crazy streets of Taiwan again!

WE had to bike to Neili, which is like 20 min away on our bikes....HOLY CRAP. WE biked so fast!!!! The sickest bike gang you've ever seen in your entire life!! Elder Zhou, Elder Magness, Sister Komatsu, and Sister Clawson UNITE!! Oh man, we were zipping in and out of allys, dodging scooters, drafting to get there faster, MAN! It was the greatest thing in the world. Like so much fun. I will never forget the bike gang to Neili.

Family Home Evening

Rebel Burger.  Those burgers are HUGE! And then she busted out on her bike!  I think she worked off the burger:)
FHE was so much fun! We had just eaten the burgers with the member and when we showed up for fhe, peters mom had SO MUCH FOOD. and she said in chinese, " If you eat it, it will make me happy!" oh my gosh..so much food, we all wanted to barf on the bike ride back. Gotta love the Taiwanese. :)

Tuesday we had zone meeting in Taoyuan!! It was so fun to meet so many new people and to see familiar faces from the MTC. Sister Apsley is in my zone and is doing fantastic!! she is so great. We learned new mission strategies and basically just how to be an awesome person. It was the best:) Taipei has got some killer missionaries.

Zone Conference and lots of new friends!
WE also got interviews with President!!!!! YES!! IT was so great to talk with him and make goals and what not. He asked me to make a goal for how many baptisms I want to have my whole mission....holy crap. I've been doing some serious praying the past few days. But I've gotten my answer! so..everyone...wish me luck..;)

The bus.

The train station.
Sister Jergensen was there too to chat with us while our comps were in interviews! I love her so much. She pulled out homemade  chocolate chip cookies and I literally cried.. Like she gave me the cookie. I looked at it. smelled it. and then the tears came.

Missions do weird things to you.

They just don't have that kind of food here! It was just so homie and wonderful:)

Yes. I am a baby. I'm almost 20 and I cried over a chocolate chip cookie.

deal with it.

We had a sad experience this week:( Our beloved investigator Lynn that was scheduled for baptism this weekend sent us a text tuesday that said that she needed some time to think and to cancel her baptism. We haven't heard from her since. EVERYONE. SATAN IS SO REAL. Don't let him get into your head! WE love her so much and hope we will see her again someday.

We've been so blessed to have found so many new investigators this week and have so many baptismal dates. The power of the spirit is amazing and changes lives. Always be Captained by Christ!! Through him we can literally do ALL THINGS.

We meet so many people every week... so many of them are absolutely insane...;) I love it:) haha.

This picture was for Jane.  Her two favorite people!  Emma and ANNA!
General Conference!!! wow. TAlk about Life changing! First time I've listened to a full on 4 sessions of conference without sleeping..for real. The power of God is impressive. We are so blessed to have a living prophet on the earth that guides and directs us and gives us the strength that we all so desperately need!

ONe last story..
last night, we traveled with one of our favorite RC's (recent convert) ruby to the middle of nowhere to meet an investigator...it was pitch black, all of us on bikes, in the jungle, with Ruby's phone guiding us to who knows where! Luckily we made it, and our investigator was adorable and set up for baptism. The spirit was so strong and she has the strongest little testimony! Cute 15 year old girl. She was worth the scary ride in the dark:)

Taiwan. Stay crazy. Stay awesome.
I love you so so so much fam and friends!
